We use a low-friction brush-pile system which is permanently machined to the timber members of the top and bottom sashes, parting beads and staff beads. This is a permanent solution to eradicate those unwanted draughts and rattles by create a perfect seal around the sashes of your box sash window, our service will ensure your sash window slides up and down with ease. Our unique draught proofing system will considerably reduces noise levels and also reduces dust ingress.
The sash window is disassembled and the top and bottom sashes are removed and machined for the fitting of our draught proofing pile carrier which houses the brush pile. Both the sashes are removed and weighed to gain the correct counter balance weight.
The excess paint to the pulley stiles, outer lining and sash stiles is removed. The sashes are then checked for correct alignment. Both sashes are re-corded with a heavy wax cotton cord with a polypropylene core, sashes are re-hung and fitting of the new staff and parting beads which incorporate our sash window draught proofing brush pile.
